Release Notes

Version 1.1.0 (Internal Testing)

Version 1.1.0 is currently available through Internal Testing.

Tracking, Health Services and connected services

  • Slow activity saves now retain exclusive ownership until storage completes. Failed final saves retry and report an error without crashing; recovery-log cleanup failures no longer invalidate an already saved activity.
  • Added V.O2 integration with secure account linking, FIT upload and automatic upload, plus workout downloads. OAuth handling is more tolerant of provider callback differences.
  • Connected-service upload, download, sign-in and support-email errors now use the same localized messages for authorization, missing-item, duplicate, network, token and unknown failures.
  • Downloaded V.O2 workouts with nested repeats now preserve their interval sequence in GT, and V.O2 account connections refresh more reliably.
  • Saved passwords are masked in connected-service details instead of being displayed as plain text.
  • Improved phone-watch data reliability during long sessions and after returning to the app. Relevant screens now show cached content immediately, coalesce duplicate synchronization requests and refresh from the companion on entry without unbounded background store reads.
  • Health Services distance tracking now prefers cumulative distance and falls back to interval-distance accumulation where required by the device.
  • If Health Services distance becomes stale or unavailable, GPS-tracked activities fall back to device GPS and non-GPS activities fall back to the pedometer. Returning Health Services data is rebased to prevent duplicate distance.
  • Interrupted activities can reconnect to an existing Health Services exercise instead of ending it and starting another session.
  • Recovering an activity that was paused restores it as paused without creating another pause or counting recovery time as active time.
  • Added a bounded activity audit trail for service lifecycle, stale-data, distance-source, pause and recovery events. Audit changes are included in normal recovery saves and trigger a save within 15 seconds when needed.
  • Completed tracking layouts remain visible until explicitly dismissed, including after switching apps or Android recreating the screen, and cannot return over a newly started workout.
  • Trial recordings now stop and save at the 15-minute limit, including after recovery. Trial completions include a persistent explanation of why recording ended; notification and on-screen timers no longer continue beyond the limit.
  • Canceling from the Start Tracking screen now stops the prepared activity and its services before returning, preventing the screen from immediately reopening.
  • Multisport trial time is shared across every leg. Intermediate leg transitions continue normally, while reaching the trial limit finishes the complete multisport session instead of starting another leg.

Workouts, intervals, alerts and zones

  • Drag intervals between repeating sets and the root list. Invalid moves that would empty a set or root list are blocked with clear feedback, and dragging beyond the final set works correctly.
  • Expanded sets collapse while being dragged and expand again when dropped. Sets remain root-level and cannot be nested.
  • Added live interval previews on mobile, animated preview reordering, and a choice of watch, phone, both or no presentation for workout previews.
  • Added adjacent-item creation that copies the selected interval or set, making similar workouts faster to build.
  • Creating a workout from Planned, or a planned workout from Workouts, now offers a three-second shortcut to open the destination list.
  • New and downloaded planned workouts are added to favourites automatically, appear on Home while scheduled for today or the future, and leave Home after their date passes.
  • Refined interval and workout cards with rounded grouped surfaces, consistent spacing, source indicators, origin badges and clearer edit controls.
  • Fixed favorite-workout drag reordering crashes and boundary behavior on Home.
  • Improved alert and target-range editing with shared range controls, clearer bounds, zone selection, colored zone overviews and more consistent enabled/disabled states.
  • Increased the distance wheel picker's range to 25.99 km and added an hours wheel for interval duration targets up to 23:59:59.
  • Lap summaries use each lap's target-effort color behind the lap number.

Layout editing and tracking screens

  • Added a mobile filmstrip layout editor with live screen previews, stable drag/edit behavior and an optional compact presentation.
  • Unified the mobile layout editors and redesigned measure selection, including localized measure search and clearer layout-setting filters.
  • Added configurable mobile screens per page, optional horizontal scrolling during tracking and optional cyclic screen paging.
  • Paired tracking screens have clearer individual borders, and layout settings show which options apply to phone layouts.
  • Fixed a map crash when an activity has no recorded samples yet or the map is still loading.
  • Fixed layout readiness, edge indicators, measure attachment and editor-position issues that could leave previews stale or on the wrong screen.
  • Added a phone bottom navigation bar for Home, Workouts, Planned and History. Settings and Connected services are available from the toolbar overflow menu.
  • Redesigned phone toolbars with screen titles and quick actions, including workout creation and library access. Wear uses compact header and footer actions adapted to the smaller screen.
  • Added a bottom action bar for phone list editing, with selection and reorder controls. Wear keeps item actions in context menus. Navigation rows now show clearer whole-row affordances.
  • Action dialogs support more than eight actions with paged previous/next navigation, tappable labels, rotary input and directional animations.
  • Dialog actions labelled OK or Confirm now use a compact round check on mobile and Wear. Decision, wheel-picker and text-entry dialogs pair it with a round cancel control, and OK/Cancel choices remain until explicitly accepted or dismissed.
  • Added shared animated list editing with stable item identities, dedicated selection/drag controls and counted success feedback. Edit actions are shown only when the current list contains something editable. On Wear, a workout or plan title is hidden while editing if fewer than five characters would fit. Scrolling skips item animations and does not rebuild a normal row's child list or card background.
  • Fixed mobile edit-list actions so copied, changed and deleted rows refresh immediately without leaving edit mode.
  • Simplified Wear list toolbars by removing the edit icon; long-pressing an editable row still enters edit mode.
  • Reworked workout history, workout libraries and template selection with consistent cards, empty states, scrolling, actions and deletion terminology.
  • User workouts, plans, and library items mark their source with a small square tag on the top edge of the card, just past the row icon. It is the same size and place on phone and watch, overlays the card, and does not take width from the title. Built-in items have no mark. A downloaded plan shows its platform icon in that tag.
  • Added wheel pickers for feedback options, layout Hold behavior, layout edge colors and activity sources. Mobile wheel digits are larger for easier reading, while Wear wheel digits stay fixed at the exact dialog center independently of labels and actions. On a shorter watch the dimmed values above and below the selection shrink and sit slightly closer to the center so they clear the title and button; taller watches keep the original size and spacing. Wear action buttons now use a wide, lower-profile pill proportion consistent with Samsung Health and align across dialogs and tracking screens. The pill stays at least that wide, widens to fit a longer label, and ends that label with an ellipsis if it reaches the maximum width.
  • Applied the GT Trimr typeface more consistently across mobile and Wear and improved icon consistency, selection colors, disabled states and accessibility descriptions.
  • Trial mode uses a named trial blue on the trial dialog and on the home-screen subscription cart. An expired trial stays red.
  • Improved Wear scrolling so first and last cards can be brought fully into view, including empty-footer and edit-mode cases.
  • Long dialog messages open with the first line below the title, and scroll far enough for the last line to clear the action button on phone and watch.
  • Startup no longer waits on billing, the Wear message listener, or a repeated node lookup before showing home. Store sync runs in parallel, auto-upload starts after the first draw, and the Wear data listing is read once and reused across sets.
  • Mobile activities can follow device rotation, while tablets and Wear OS remain portrait-only. Tracking and layout editing remain portrait-only, and mobile landscape dialogs keep their controls accessible.
