Sources

Here you can select the device sources you wish to use to feed metrics during your activity.

Tip

Pair your Bluetooth devices in Devices to ensure they are available here for selection.

To configure each source, tap the item to cycle each available option or paired device.

The following sources can be configured:

  • Location

Allows you to change the source of the GPS, and set an accuracy filter.

    • GPS(auto): If you have your phone connected, the phone GPS will be selected otherwise it will fall back to the watch GPS.
    • GPS(device): Force the use of the local devices GPS (no auto switching).
  • Location Signal

Feedback setting to alert you that the GPS accuracy is outside of the Accuracy Threshold

  • Distance

  • Speed/Pace

  • Heart Rate

  • Elevation

  • Power

  • Cadence

  • Metrics

Advanced metrics from BLE devices (Currently only Stryd™ is supported)

  • Health Client

Health Client is a Wear OS service that provides native activity-tracking metrics on wearables. GT currently supports two metrics through Health Client:

    • Speed/Pace
    • Cadence

Using Health Client for these metrics gives you the benefit of native stabilization algorithms. To enable them:

    1. Turn on Health Client.
    2. Set the Speed/Pace and/or Cadence source to Health Client.

    Note

This option is only available on wearables that support Health Client. You cannot enable it from GT on mobile.

    Warning

Only one app can use Health Client at a time. If another app is already tracking your activity when you start GT, that app will stop tracking. If GT is using Health Client and you start another app that also uses Health Client, GT will lose access to these features and fall back to its own algorithms.
